I had wings with garlic soy sauce. Fairly tasty but a bit dry. Friend had pork buns. Good but a bit fatty.I am excited to have new, different food and will return to try the other Korean items.

We arrived around 6 pm on a Saturday. There were two (very very closely situated) tables available and about four couples in front of us so I grabbed a table while my husband ordered. The restaurant is small and seems to be more of a pick up and go type than sit down and enjoy with family. The tables are ridiculously close to each other. And when the line backs up (if you are sitting at the perimeter tables) you’ll have people basically talking over you as you eat. (Fun fun) I will say that the bathrooms were very clean and the staff was friendly and efficient.
So to the food: We got the pork buns, bulgogi fires, regular slaw kimchi slaw, and the boneless wings (spicy). The boneless wings were meaty but there was also a lot of breading on them and they were very greasy from the “double fry” technique. The sauce wasn’t evenly distributed on the them and the bottoms of these had no sauce. The bulgogi fries were delicious. The flavor was well balanced with the green onions, garlic, spicy mayo, and cheese but they needed more spicy mayo on the side instead of ketchup. The kimchi slaw was just the regular slaw with taekyung red powder. I would still order it over the regular slaw. The pork buns would have been better if there was less slaw or maybe even none. My husband and I agreed that most of the options that we got would not carry well so dine in would be necessary but honestly we likely won’t return. I’m not excited to go back and try anything. This was essentially dressed up fast food. And while some people enjoy that type of food, its just not my cup of tea as I typically avoid fast food unless I’m traveling late/stuck in airport. My husband ate most of the wings and complained about feeling sick for the rest of the night and attributed it to the greasiness. So my suggestion is: don’t order a meal, split a few options just to say you tried it, and then make a decision. I think that we would have enjoyed our meal more if we had asked for slaw on the side for the buns and if we hadn’t gotten the chicken but they are “known” for the Korean fried chicken. I gave them an overall score of 3 for the lack of seating, essentially being stacked on top of each other, and the fact that their known for item “fried chicken” was the least exciting/enjoyable dish on the table.

Came here for the first time. I got the Yumdrum Trio with Korean BBQ. This was 3 drumsticks with seasoned fries and Korean donut. Let me say this is the best KFC chicken that I've ever had. Great flavor and loved the crispyness of the chicken. I had a little issue with the young man taking my order, and my only other complaint is a small dining area. I really loved the chicken, and the young lady that was helping was fantastic. I will definitelybe back soon..

Woooooosh okay last one from our trip to Huntsville. This was our last stop and the last day of Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo.

We had heard about Bonchon opening up in Huntsville about a month before it was supposed to open. We were disappointed to find out it wouldn't be open until around the end of this month. So on that weekend chilling in the hotel I came across a post on Facebook saying that they were open. Me being shocked I called the restaurant and sure enough an employee confirmed they opened 2 weeks early!

Now look I get it, it's a fast food chain restaurant but hear me out. This place is churning out some of the best Korean fried chicken I have ever had but obviously not better then Big Oh's but still way up there.

So I ordered just regular Korean Fried Chicken wings (not spicy) and the steamed pork buns.

The steamed pork buns were well they were okay. The buns were pillow soft but they fell short of what I wanted. The flavor was there but they were just filled with mostly coleslaw and one small piece of pork belly. I wouldn't order these again. They weren't expensive but I guess you get what you get at a chain restaurant so I'm not like upset about it. They get a 6/10.

Now the Korean Fried Chicken. Not much to say here they were crispy and covered in finger licking good sauce and just juicy and delicious. I am definitely coming back for these if nothing else. 8.2/10

As you can see below there was other foods tried by my friends I did not taste these.

Also the customer service here was top notch. 10/10

For their first day open, bonchon knocked it out of the park! The wings and drumsticks are very delicious, especially with the spicy sauce and the fries were phenomenal.

I will say, don’t order your chicken plain, my strips were incredibly tough to the touch and so off-putting to look at that I didn’t eat them. (Picture included)
