PBR Lockhart Smokehouse

Went here for the first time with my family. There weren't many people eating but I'm not sure if that's typical.

It seems like everything was cooked with peppers in it. Baked beans left our mouths hurting and we didn't even finish it. Potato salad was interesting and I didn't like it either. Collards had a very strong vinegar taste.

Brisket was good and the chicken was good. A bit pricey for the food we received; probably won't be going back.

Plenty of seating both inside and outside- nice atmosphere. The outdoor patio is dog friendly. You order at the counter and get your own beverages. I like the mac & cheese- their jalapeño sausage was pretty good too. My husband had their chicken, smoked baked beans, and apple cobbler and enjoyed them. Beans have a kick to them so steer clear if spice isn’t up your alley. Bathroom sinks are unique- separate room from the toilets. I thought the movement in front of me was me in the mirror the first time I used them but it was actually a dude on the other side.

Nice building, they have employees line dancing. The food is quite possibly prepared off site due the lack of a smoker. High priced for the portion size, New York inspired.
