“I have found my new go-to for authentic Mexican in Huntsville - great flavors and not covered with tons of cheeses and sauces. Highly recommend the Al Pastor burrito (hold the rice & beans for me) and fajitas are really good. My favorite is the Torta Especial - the bread is unbelievable. “Very glad we decided to check out this new restaurant in the neighborhood despite the poor reviews on this site. My husband had the brisket plate and I had their giant potato with pork. We also shared a slice of their delicious chocolate pie. Portions were generous and food was very flavorful . We called ahead for our takeout order and it was ready in a timely manner. “The Quick: Good food, comfortable setting outside (smoking establishment if you want inside seating), friendly staff, clean sports bar, tinted windows though give it that Strip Club kinda feel so that is kinda weird. Review: Ordered the Siracha Bleu Cheese Burger with Fries and some Southwest Egg rolls with their Ranch dressing. They did a good job cooking the burger and it was plenty tasteful. The service was good as it was the bartender that really took our order but to their defense, it wasn't packed so I don't know if they have a normal server. You choose your own table so we decided to sit outside since it was already a little smokey on the inside. Food was really good though. Should You go??: Yes, you should def try it out if you are over 21 and looking for a pretty good place to eat and hangout. Would I go back?: Yes I will def go back and try their wings next time Kid Review: Did not go with me as it is a 21 and over place What did I like best: Like the previous reviewer Bailey stated, the fries are unique and I really liked them. “Where to start with the amazingness that is The Southern Chop... My fiancé and I came into the Marriott hotel here in Huntsville on the 18th of September tired and hungry from a long trip driving all day. We had a reservation at a different restaurant, but were happy to see that The Southern Chop was having a soft opening this weekend. We were quickly greeted and seated by the team, and they didn't even mind that we looked a HOT mess. Let's start with the appetizers. We ordered the crab cake, jumbo shrimp ap, and deviled eggs to start. Lord strike me dead if I'm lying: those were the best apps I have had in months! The shrimp are huge! The deviled eggs will make to want to order 5 more orders to take home! The crab cake was wonderful! We were so impressed. My fiancé ordered the rib eye rare, and I ordered the filet mignon medium with crab on top. With all serious, that was one of the top 5 steaks I have ever had (and clearly we are big food people!). It was cooked to perfection. Like cut it with a spoon, best flavor possible, perfect. I would recommend this fabulous place to anyone and everyone! 5 stars is truly not enough!”

I called back to the restaurant to let them know and the owner answered my call. She apologized and apologized some more. The owner then asked if she could reimburse the money I spent on the meal and gas money through my CashApp. I thought this is amazing, thanks so much!
