Humphrey Brother’s Bistro & Lounge

Phenomenal, in every aspect. The atmosphere is incredible- you can come dressed up or casual and feel comfortable. We were in for an early dinner and had the place to ourselves, by the time we left the place was filling up for live music. We've decided to make this our monthly date night spot!
Get the polenta fries and the olive oil cake!

Amazing bistro in historic Madison! Joe did an incredible job with restoring the building with beautiful woodwork and ceiling tiles. Just had lunch there with my wife and son and the food was super! We had the antipasto as an appetizer followed by the chicken parm, swordfish steak, and chicken piccata and everything was great! Throw in a round of well made cocktails and we had a great time. The service was wonderful all the way around...if you haven't been there yet, you've been missing out! Well done Humphrey Brothers Bistro and Lounge!!!

10/10. The owner is super nice , our waitress, Jasmine was amazing. She made sure everything was perfect and never let our drinks get low. We had chicken Parmesan , and the Italian beef and they were both good. The only downside is this is not a family place, since it's smoking (cigars only). The smell is not over powering though. There was a jazz band playing tonight (Saturday) Everything is reasonably priced also ! I will definitely be back !

We enjoyed our first meal tonight. Two of us had the Chicken Parmesan, one had the spaghetti with marinara.

The Chicken Parmesan was tasty. This is not a thin pan-fried cutlet but instead was a nice thicker, cooked well breast. It was cooked nicely and moist. My sister said it was the best Chicken Parmesan she ever had! I found it extremely tasty and would rate it as one of the best.

My wife enjoyed her spaghetti. The bread that accompanied all of our meals was excellent.

We finished with an order of the Olive Oil Cake and the Tiramisu. Both were excellent finished to a great meal. The Olive Oil Cake was a first for us. The Mixed Berries and cream really accentuated the cakes taste. Loved it! The Tiramisu was also very tasty. Not overly soggy, it held its form and really came with rich flavors.

We did have the Bruschetta appetizer. Very good taste, the portion size tended on the smaller side.

We will definitely go back. I am not a cigar smoker and did not find the smell overwhelming. I can imagine if you were there during a busy evening where many were smoking, it might get stronger. But I think they paid attention to the ventilation and we had no problems.

We’ve had great anticipation for Humphrey Brothers to open! Joe, Flora, and Devin did amazing on this place!! The food, drinks, service, and experience were fantastic. We had several food dishes. Pictured below. Highly recommend the meatballs and Italian sandwich. The strawberry Collins, Godfather, and Old Fashion that Devin made was delicious. And you’ve got to try Devin’s signature margarita!
