We stopped inside and the food was pretty good. The drive through was busy but inside was empty. We got our order fast and the food was on target. Great for lunch or take out on the way home.

This family owned and run restaurant is good local BBQ. If you are visiting from out of town stop in and give it a try. It’s worth it.

One thing to think about is what time and what day of the week you’re visiting this restaurant. Put some thought into what time it is and when you’re going as it will make a difference. For example if it’s a weekday peak dinner hour you’re most likely to get the best food however you may have to wait a little bit for your order but it’s going to be worth it.

We have visited this restaurant on several occasions both during the weekday and on weekends. We always go during peak hour so that we get the best food but we usually have to wait a little bit.

The barbecue sauce is an original family recipe. They have both the traditional red type barbecue sauce and a white sauce. The smoke flavor of the meat is good, the meats have always been tender and the portions generous.

Their side dishes include potato salad, baked beans, fried okra and others. The baked beans are very good the potato salad is homemade and delicious and the fried okra it has always been done to perfection.

The cornbread stands out as a family recipe and is a local favorite. It’s served as a generous wedge and it’s big enough to be considered a desert although there’s usually peach cobbler available when we’ve been there.

There’s usually daily specials available and they are reasonably priced. There’s also family packs one can order and take home.

Overall the prices are very reasonable. I recommend going during peak times to ensure the best quality of food even though you may have to wait a little bit for your order.

I called in a picked up order and had to wait another 20 minutes after I got there. The pulled pork was very good. Loved the barbecue sauce. The fried okra was perfectly cooked. Will go back again to eat.

Above average BBQ for Alabama. The brisket is tasty, but lacking hickory smoke flavor. All the meat is cooked perfectly and appears high quality. They have all the normal sides and they're very good. Try their XXX hot sauce. It's fantastic.

The inside atmosphere is about what you'd expect for a BBQ place. Would go again.
