Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux – Huntsville, AL

My husband and I are from Louisiana, so we are always excited to try restaurants that taste like home.

I ordered a cup of red beans - just to try - and MAN those were the best red beans I’ve had in a long time! My husband got the gumbo and it was really good as well!

We also ordered the Catfish Atchafalya and Boom Boom shrimp poboy. They were both excellent.

We didn’t care for the Devil on Horseback appetizer but that’s probably just our preference.

I would go back for the red beans alone. Service and atmosphere were great! I hope you guys expand into Huntsville. I’m on the other side and it’s about 45 minutes for me to get to you in Madison.

We never got our appetizer but other than that the experience was great. The food was fantastic and has been the 3 times we have eaten here. We had the fried shrimp platter. The batter is light and tasty. You get plenty with waffles fries. I had the double play sliders with the cheeseburger and stinging honey chicken sandwich. Both were perfect. I encourage anyone to try this place!

I've been twice now and enjoyed myself immensely both times. The food is fantastic and I've had really great service both times also. I ordered the Cajun press the first time with fries and a side of hush puppies and ordered Cajundillas that came with red beans and rice my 2nd trip. Also, had boom boom shrimp appetizer. Everything was amazing! Looking forward to my next visit, already planning what I'll order next.

Great sports bar with a lot of food options. My wife went a few weeks ago and had bones in her fish. I went out with my friends in spite of her review to give it another try. Great food and drinks for all. I had shrimp and grits. The other plate is blackened Red fish. Looks like they redeemed themselves and will go again.

Service was excellent, very nice and helpful. This was our first time here so many choices on the menu. The kids loved the chicken fingers and waffle fries. The gumbo was warm. Redfish tacos were good. The buffalo sandwich is huge tender and juicy. Bayou shrimp with pasta had fried shrimp and it was spicy. Noodles were favored well. But the warm cookie sundae was so good really good.
