“Stopped in for the first time, so glad I did. The coffee was perfect, not burned, not too cool, the temperature was perfection! I ordered a Caramel Latte. I tasted the espresso and not just caramel syrup. Also, purchased a drip coffee. It was also excellent. The space is inviting with lots of comfy seating. The coffee board is easy to read and order from. Lots of parking and a drive thru window.”

“Everything was as good as other stores. But that's what chains do well. If I go to one in Austin I want the same good sandwich as Huntsville. I like the original. Service wad quick and accurate.”

“This review is for Panera Bread located at The Shops at Madison on West Highway 72 in front of the Target store. I stopped in for a quick bite to eat for lunch on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. It had been a long time since I’d been to Panera Bread for lunch. I usually just go through the drive-through in the morning and pick up a couple of spinach and bacon quiche. However, today I was craving the broccoli cheddar soup so I stopped and went inside to eat a bowl of soup since it was raining out and I thought I’d have some coffee to go with it. It’s probably been three or four years since I’ve actually been inside of Panera Bread to eat since they now have a drive-through that you can order from but like I wrote above, normally I just drive through Panera Bread in the morning and pick up spinach and bacon quiche and I hadn’t been to Panera Bread for anything other than breakfast in several years. So, I was really looking forward to the broccoli cheddar soup since it had been such a long time since I had any. The inside of the store was much of what I remembered previously and from other Panera Bread locations. Panera Bread uses the natural earth tone colors to give its customers the impression of environmentally friendly, natural foods, fresh made, etc. Impressions go a long way. The store was clean and appeared well kept. It was still a little bit early just before the lunch hour so the store wasn’t very busy yet. I ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and a small coffee. I was given my pager and no sooner than I found a table to relax at that the order was ready. I would expect that because a bowl of soup doesn’t take very long to prepare. What I was not expecting was a bowl half full of soup. You can see from the photos I took and included below I haven’t yet begun to eat the soup. The bowl is only half full. I also included a photo of the receipt to show that I did indeed order a bowl of soup. It has been a few years since I’ve been to Panera Bread for lunch to have their broccoli cheddar soup. It looks like they’re using a new type of bowl to serve their soup. Perhaps it is just appearances. I did eat every bite of the delicious soup. But as stated above, impressions go along way. My impression was that the bowl was only half full. Before I even started to eat I pulled out my receipt thinking that perhaps, by mistake, I ordered the small cup. However, as the receipt shows it is indeed the bowl of soup that I ordered and paid for. As I looked over the receipt I also noticed something printed on the receipt which read, No Meal Upgrade. Perhaps I needed to pay extra for the meal upgrade in order to have my bowl of soup filled. I’m not really sure. The soup was indeed delicious and I ate every single bite; however, I would not consider it a bowl, stand alone worth $6.19. This is why I am giving this particular visit to Panera bread a four instead of five stars. I will probably return to Panera Bread to pick up my quiche through the drive-through even though it is a bit pricy. For any future lunch visits, I’ll probably just order the cup of broccoli cheddar soup or look for a better price value meal that includes the soup.”

“Regularly enjoy this place, and staff is usually great. I will share this complaint with a few others before me, though: there is one woman behind the register who frequently takes my order, and as others have said, is not very pleasant. She does not greet, is not very polite, and has little urgency. I'm not interested at all in alienating this person, but would like to see her start acknowledging her customers at the very least. It is probably the only thing keeping me from giving a full 5 stars to be frank.”
