“I have tried a ton of Mexican restaurants in Montgomery. El Jalisco has by far the most extensive menu of any. It is not just burritos and tacos and the typical Mexican fair. It has a lot more variety and dishes than just that.The food itself is amazing. Taste wise it certainly rivals the best in Montgomery, or anywhere else for that matter. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I never had to ask for anything, the waitress knew and brought refills etc without asking. Highly recommended. I would definitely go back.”

“The girl who took our order was very friendly and personable. When our food was ready, she brought it to our table so that we didn't have to go pick it up at the counter. The fish portions were noticeably larger than what we are used to at our hometown Captain D's, and the food was served on washable dishes. While we were eating, another worker, also friendly and helpful, came over to our table to check on us. We would definitely eat here again.”

“The staff was very friendly, courteous and had a great sense of humour. The food came out quickly and was hot off the grill. We ordered a steak fajita burrito smothered with wueso and a chicken taco salad with a side of guacamole. Both were prepared well and had some seasoning but not much salt. Many times the food at other Mexican restaurants have too much salt in it. This was good because we could season it more if we wanted more salt. My husband didn't use any more salt and I used a little more. They also had a couple of sauce to put on if you wanted to make it hotter. I did use those because I like things spicier. I found the meat to be sliced properly that it was tender and yet still juicy. I would go back to this restaurant again if I lived closer. We were from Tennessee and they're in Montgomery on business. But we will be sure when we are in Montgomery to go to the La Costa restaurant again.”

“Their food is great. However we got there at 4:30p. It was happy hour and they were not ready for table patrons. No one greeted us so I asked the staff at the bar if they were closed. She said No the Servers were late coming to work. We seated ourselves and ordered. It was 5:15p when we got the food. The ribs state baby back on the menu but all you get is 3 short bones. The ???? and grits came in a cute wine glass and was very tasty. So to summarize, slow service but tasty food. It's def a place to just chill. If you are on time constraints this is not the place for you.”

“We like to stop at this Baumhower’s on our way to Atlanta because the food is consistently good, lots of TV’s to catch up on sports, and the people there are always so friendly! Today was no exception... we had the special delight of being served by KC! KC just makes you have to smile! He was very hospitable, our order was perfect, and the blackberry cobbler (recommended by KC) is not to be missed! It was DELICIOUS! It was a great experience... even the manager stopped by twice to chat with us. We left happy!”

“This one is slamming with people. All in all, even hard to find a parking space. Hey success speaks for itself. I would love to be the owner operator on this place. How many quick serve food places will people wait on line to get a decent meal? Not many if any others. Parking on the dirt lot in back, and push come to shove next door at another brands lot and walk over. Mostly tourist passing thru on they way to Panama City Beach or Atlanta. Excellent salads.”

I tried a lot of items on the menu and they all are great but, my favorites is the fried chicken wings with shrimp fried rice. The customer support is great and you can see into the kitchen. Great place to go for lunch or dinner. Only issue is there is not enough seating while waiting for them to make your food.”
