“We’ve made Jan’s our dinner choice every trip to Florida via Montgomery for past 3 years. Always great food and a friendly ambiance. Seat yourself when entering, no hostess. May be music on the night you visit, if so the bar area will be crowded and a bit noisy, so be prepared for that. I always get the small oyster platter with sides of Gouda grits and green beans. My friend gets the grilled shrimp platter with broccoli and green beans. Always consistently fresh and reasonably priced.”

“I have tried a ton of Mexican restaurants in Montgomery. El Jalisco has by far the most extensive menu of any. It is not just burritos and tacos and the typical Mexican fair. It has a lot more variety and dishes than just that.The food itself is amazing. Taste wise it certainly rivals the best in Montgomery, or anywhere else for that matter. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I never had to ask for anything, the waitress knew and brought refills etc without asking. Highly recommended. I would definitely go back.”
