Great atmosphere and location. The dinner was really good (salmon), but the brunch was just decent. It doesn’t help when you order Huevos Rancheros and they forget the eggs. Overall I think prices are higher than they should be and the menu is far too small. Beautiful building and back patio.

I had the pork chop brunch plate with potatoes and fried egg and it was AMAZING! Pork chop was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Tasted like it came straight out of a black iron skillet actually!!! Which is a plus of course. Live music was playing in the bar and it was quit delightful! My new fav place in Tuscaloosa to escape downtown. My compliments to the chef. Do keep it up.

10's across the board. I ordered the fried fish and fries with a salad. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and salad.
You could tell the the tartar sauce, ranch dressing and blackberry vinegarette was homemade and very delicious. We sat outside on the patio and the atmosphere was amazing.

The new Avenue Pub on Rice Mine is the BEST!!! My family and I had the absolute best brunch today! The whole experience was great and our girls loved it so much… especially my 19 month old who had to hug the sweet hostess before we left!! And our waitress Lexi made our day!! She was SO sweet and amazingly prompt with everything! We just loved her!!!

The food is great just like the downtown location. It has not been open long, but get ready to wait. We arrived at 11:09 AM for lunch at it was a 20 minute wait. There were a lot of empty tables, so I take it the wait was due to a lack of staff. The servers are still learning and the kitchen crew is slow as our total time at our table was barely under one hour, so start to finish lunch took just under one hour and 20 minutes. The atmosphere needs more character. For a restaurant in a neighborhood location they missed the mark by not making it a family friendly restaurant. The majority of the seating is for the two bars, or outside. The main dining area is minimal by comparison to the space allocated to the bars. There is not a kid’s menu, but if you ask, they have a grilled cheese or they will make the chicken tenders without the beer batter. Huge miss. I gave it 3 stars because the food is great, but they have a lot to fix, and I really hope they realize they are in a neighborhood area with lots of families that would like to dine there. I don’t know how they add more seating that is not in the bar, but they can at least add a kid’s menu. I hope they figure it out soon.
