The dining area was cozy with wine bottles lining the walls and vintage pictures on the wall. The service was was pleasant and the food was excellent. Portion sizes were generous but the real star was the bread pudding. The bread pudding was warm and delicious, I could come back just for that.
My son and I have dined at Depalmas every few months for the last 10 years. The service is personable and prompt. The food is always fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is lively, just the right amount of chatter. A great restaurant. No wonder they are always packed with customers.
Good food and service. Very popular place ... go early.
Wow. It was even better than I remembered. The spinach and onion breadsticks were heavenly. The angel hair with pesto was delicious. And my family loved the pizza.
Service was friendly and efficient. And the restaurant is gorgeous.
This is the only good Italian restaurant in Tuscaloosa. I know people love the olive garden, and that's fine if you prefer frozen and reheated foods. This place cooks all their own stuff and it's fresh. I have eaten here hundreds of times in my life, and it has always been exceptionally good. I've only had a couple dishes that tasted a little bland to me, and a little table salt, pepper, parmigiano, and or red pepper flakes can fix that right up (which is why it's on the table). I know there can be a wait some times, but it's worth it.
I have never had an issue with service. Ever. I love that fact, because in Tuscaloosa, good customer service can be hard to find in the food industry.
From the outside design to the inside decor, everything about this place screams romantic. Yes the food is expensive, but from what I've experienced, it's totally worth every dime. I cannot wait to eat there again.
