Every time I come here I am never let down. The food is amazing and has quite a bit of variety. Their service is awesome as well. You can either sit at the bar and watch come sports, or chill in a cozy corner or table. Firetap is becoming one of my favorite restaurants.
Great food and great customer service. Amazing selection of beers and drinks. Will be back again!!
I've always heard and seen mixed review of this place. But after going there with some guys, I can say we had a good time. Vibe and decor is chill, food was surprisingly really good (well worth the not-cheap cost), and the beer selection is one of the largest and best I've seen in Anchorage (they even had Kona brew!).
If I were to knock on anything, though, it would be the menu. That thing is huge in more ways than one. It's double-sided, the size of poster, and might literally have more than one hundred items. It's way too much. Me and my friends thought it was funny how genuinely stressed we felt trying to pick something out. My suggestion: shorten it greatly. Maybe have seasonal menus. I'm sure it would cut costs for Firetap and give customers a more relaxing experience. Not really a big deal, though.
All in all, really good experience. Give it a try!
The meatball pepperoni pretzel was great. Its a new way to have the flavor of a Stromboli or calzone but served as a sandwich. Mine was a bit burnt on the edges but still good. My daughter had the cottage pie. It had good flavor but the gravy in the meat wasn’t gravy it was more like soup.
