Trailhead Hideaway Bar and Grill

The Trailhead Hideaway Bar and Grill is conveniently located right at the turn-off to Mt Graham from Highway 191. A group of us stopped by after a long day of mountain biking on the freshly worked on trails on Mt Graham. The atmosphere is what you would expect for a bar and grill on the side of the highway. It looked well taken care of, and nothing stood out as being out of place or worn-out. There was a pool table, which we were told was free to use on Sunday. Our group took advantage of the pool table while we waited for our food.
The menu was good and had the choices you would like. There were probably 10 plus draft beers to choose from, including a few good craft beers, which was a good surprise. I ordered a double cheese burger, and it came with some fresh cut frys. (Sorry, I forgot to get a picture of the burger) My wife ordered a grill cheese and a basket of fried mushrooms, which she said were very good. My hayz IPA beer came with an orange slice, which was different but I went with it and it was fine.
The service was very good. She keep our waters and beers full and checked on us often. A small misunderstanding on our order between the waitress and the cook was quickly fixed within minutes. I could not ask for any more from our visit and look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Mt Graham.

I can’t say enough how good their food is, the steak was so tender and cooked to perfection. And their burgers were juicy and full of flavor, tonight I had a side of cheese curds, they were perfectly golden and so delicious!! They are accommodating, if there’s something you want that’s not on the menu they’ll do their best to make it if they can. Definitely worth the drive!!

I ordered the dbl bacon cheese burger to go for lunch and was very impressed at how well everything was prepared. You wouldn't think much of it, just lookn at this joint and it comes off as more of a bar than a place to grab a bite...but bars serve great food an this place was no exception. The cook back there is working with the bare minimum of tools and he still manages to pull off one of the best- if not thee best burgers in Safford. The fries were also pretty good and you can really appreciate the fact that they make their own. All in all...considering portion, taste, freshness and price? I give it a solid 9 out of 10.

Don't go for the decor, it's a bar.
The food on the other hand is quite tasty. Burgers are spot on. Friendly service. Full bar of course. Chelsea is always up beat and happy to oblige.
