Cafe Rio Mexican Grill

Delicious!! We eat here all the time! I love the salad and that they have FREE quesadillas for kids. Service is always good at this location. The line moves quickly and clean environment.

Avondale location.
Wife got Monday special, 2 sweet potk enchiladas, rice, beans & a drink. She really enjoyed it.
I got a salad with shredded chicken.
They put the tortilla with cheese on the grill then put the bowl over it upside down, not flat on the tortilla. I had to ask for "less" lettuce, and ALMOST told them it was too much chicken, but I didn't. :P
I did ask for extra tortilla strips and they were very gracious, no extra charge. The portions are more than generous, and the taste is very fresh & flavorful. The tortillas are made fresh right up front, and they are yummy, cooked very well.
We both also had the Hand-Pressed Mint Limeade, THE BOMB!

I was going to give a 1 star review. As soon as I stepped in line, it was about 2 minutes before I was even greeted, and I was at the front of the line. The 4 employees in front of me were busy making tortillas and another order. I didn't even get a "we'll be right with you". It takes minimal effort to greet a guest, and 4 employees couldn't do it in 2 minutes, so that tells you something about their people. They did, however, earn 2 more stars, so I'm giving them a 3. Reason: The food was really fresh and delicious! They just need to work on their customer service is all.

First time customer. Was busy at 12:00 Sunday, but staff was very professional and efficient. I had the two shredded beef tacos, and they were really delicious! Plenty of good choices on the soda drinks as well. Will definitely be coming back.

The guy with the glasses (forget to ask for his name SORRY!!)who made my food was very welcoming and super friendly! Made my whole order and answered every question I had. The cashier was super friendly as well and she was so nice will be going back here again!!
