To start, this is a beautiful resort and there is so much to like. And my guess is that most visitors will not have a similar experience to what we did. The reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is the customer service--the way they dealt with the problems we had while staying. For the most part, they just listened to what we had to say and moved on. No apology and minimum attempt to help. We may have gotten people on a tough day and we had unique events happen while we were there. But receiving reasonable customer service doesn't seem like too high an expectation.

We were initially booked into room 2036 on the ground floor, back side. The rooms are very nice and the renovations are excellent. Super clean, tasteful modern design. All very good. We didn't like being down below on that back side (feels a bit like you are in a basement room). But very quiet (for the most part). On one of the mornings, the construction vehicles/delivery (I don't know) were running for about a half hour starting at 6:30 AM. Back up beeps were prevalent and woke up our room (our whole family). When I asked the gentleman at the front desk if that is normal he just said "No, it shouldn't be until 8 am." No apology offered, nothing. I just moved on not wanting to create a big fuss.

On day two we came back from the pool and 2 women in a neighboring room (probably 2042) were smoking in their patio area. The breeze was blowing it our direction and the internal vent fans were sucking it into our room through the large gap under the fully closed door. I called the front desk, they sent down engineers who confirmed this was happening and even acknowledged that this is one of the problems in these rooms.

Gloria then got involved and was very helpful. She ended up moving us up to room 2240 (I think that was the room--top floor right up above where we were originally). Again, a beautiful room and a seemingly nicer location. The room was fantastic until about 2 am that night/morning. At that point we had about an hour of the drunk women in the next room (rm 2238 it seemed) talking excessively loud in the hallways, men talking with them loudly, consistent slamming of the bedroom doors as they went in and out.

Again, no apology and no suggestion as to how they might want to appease a guest and family who have had multiple issues at their property.

I followed up multiple times since returning home and have been ignored by the resort. At this point I feel I have given ample time to wort things out and still no response so just submitting what I hope is a balanced review of the property.

The food is outstanding, as well as the service. It’s such a nice atmosphere, and beautifully decorated. I had the pesto prosciutto mozzarella wrap, and the other had the mini tacos. Ended with the cheesecake, which was outstanding. I would absolutely recommend this place!

This is an unbelievable spa resort. Enjoyed every minute... from the classes to the staff at dinner to the classes to the hip spa. Rooms are spacious. Fantastic experience! Would definitely go back.

Very clean and the help is very attentive. The classes are included in a $25 fee. The classes were full by the time we were able to sign up and we were disappointed. We went to the new Spa and we're surprised at the expense of just a basic massage. The couple's massage was over $500, at least stats how it was printed out on the price sheet. We wanted manicures and a massage and we ended up going into town to get those services. The pool and hot tub are gorgeous. It was freezing cold when we were there, but I will be back during nicer weather and hopefully they will have the bugs worked out of the class schedules. This is a nice retreat that makes you feel like you are out of town. We loved our getaway.
