Georgie's Diner

Enjoyed another visit to Georgie's Diner yesterday. The menu has something for everyone the main dishes, sides and service have always been excellent and I think this is why locals make it a regular stop. The bar is also beautiful and winding, it's really something to enjoy for happy hour or in the evening.

Good service and an extensive menu. I had the Eggs Benedict which was served over something that wasn't an English muffin and ham. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The ham was generous and thick but I'm not a fan of ham. The bread underneath was soggy. It was served with a generous portion of well-browned hashbrowns but they were soggy also. We arrived at 12:15 on a Sunday so should have been right in the middle of their busy time when things were fresh.

My husband had the fish and chips. The fish was good but breading thick. Served with a generous portion of thick cut fries.

Food is always good ???? they need some music though. I felt like people around us could totally hear our conversation. It would also add a better ambiance.

What a gem of a place. I went to a create your own earnings event at Gallagher’s art and framing and stopped here for breakfast. Excellent coffee. Piping hot. Food was hot, delicious and great value for money. Waitress, Bonnie, was lovely.
