“We’ve driven past this venerable Chinese restaurant many times, but had never eaten here. Tonight’s storm fortuitously lead us to stay local, rather than head into Scottsdale. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavors of the traditional dishes we enjoyed. We shared the sizzling rice soup and the Happy Family entre, both of which we would recommend. Equally enjoyable was the bowl of old fashioned sticky rice that accompanied our dish. The restaurant was busy, but service was attentive. This was silver lining of snow In Fountain Hills.”

“Excellent! We had lunch there with friends around the noon hour. It was not crowded at all, the wait staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent. I had the pasta primavera. The only reason I stopped short of five stars is, at least on that day, the service was quite slow. Otherwise I highly recommend! Incidentally, this restaurant is located about a thousand yards away from the official Fountain Hills fountain.”

There was classic 50’s music in the background. Our waitress brought water for our pups. Clean restrooms - good stop. Fountain Hills is a very clean up scale community with lots of shops, a huge park in the center of town and beautiful landscaping.”

“My friends and I, from Minnesota, visited Arizona back in January. Sun Baked was recommended to us by some locals, so we stopped there for Saturday brunch. My boyfriend and I are pretty big foodies, so we are often cooking or trying new restaurants, and let me just say - I wish I could have brought Sun Baked back home with me! Aesthetically, Sun Baked is quaint and cozy with a friendly, laid-back vibe. The woman who helped us at the counter was very welcoming and the customers around us were really nice and offered us their suggestions. We decided on the chicken and waffles, quiche, grits, eggs benny and about a dozen donuts (we sampled two and came back for more - they were so soft and delicious). Sun Baked was hands-down the best place we ate in Arizona all week! Every single item was outstanding! While we were finishing up, the owner came out and she was so wonderfully gracious. It's really difficult to find places like Sun Baked. Not just amazing food and wonderful service, but they made us feel so welcome and right at home. I guarantee that we will be back next time we visit, and I will be spreading the news to the rest of my AZ-bound friends!”

“Went to lunch here with two friends. It was a Friday and apparently, they have a catfish fry special on Fridays. No one in my party wanted fish, but we did want to try their burgers that we had heard were good. Luckily, we had also heard that you should order your burger a little more done than you normally would. Two of us would usually order medium, but we ordered medium-well instead and we're glad that we did. That said, they were wonderful. The other friend always asks for well done and was happy with their well done mushroom burger. They come with very skinny fries, so next time I will probably upgrade to onion rings or some other special side. The food was very good though as well as the service. They do also offer a veggie burger. We will return.”

“I was actually super impressed by this place. The food was really great, and the sake and plum wine were also wonderful! The veggies in the fried rice were fresh and not just soggy frozen kinds so I appreciated that. I’m picky about hot and sour soup too and theirs was great! My husbands sesame chicken was delicious. It seems like most people order take out, so the dining room was somewhat empty and the service was awesome, super attentive and quick. Will definitely be coming back when we are in the area again!”

The ham was generous and thick but I'm not a fan of ham. The bread underneath was soggy. It was served with a generous portion of well-browned hashbrowns but they were soggy also. We arrived at 12:15 on a Sunday so should have been right in the middle of their busy time when things were fresh. My husband had the fish and chips. The fish was good but breading thick. Served with a generous portion of thick cut fries.”

“I'm so glad Filiberto's is close to my home. Some of the best Mexican Comfort Food around! Hot (heat) fresh food, generous portions, all temps of salsa. Great refrieds & tasty rice. Extremely nice & accomodating Mgr. Location is hard to see, its in the Safeway & Goodwill Center around on the N. end. They also have a drive-thru on side of the restaurant.”
