Ryu Sushi & Teppanyaki

So many great things to say about Ryu Sushi & Teppanyaki. We ordered some sushi, shrimp and teriyaki chicken kids meals, yakiniku, and the scallops, shrimp, and lobster. All of it was juicy and delicious. The hibachi cook had a polite and quiet demeanor who was humble and funny. He entertained my children and was empathetic to their fears of fire and would warn them before it happened. He even asked my kids if it was okay to display some of the fire on the grill later. The additional servers who tended our table were amazing as well. What's great about this place is that every server ensures you are taken care of quickly. It's not just one server per table/grill. It was my Aunt's birthday and we wanted to take her some place special and it had been while since we had been to Ryu. We definitely won't wait this long again to come back. We just ordered what seems like 27lbs of sushi and some yakisoba noodles. Beef yakisona wasn't bland, per se, but needed a little kick. We drizzled a little eel-sauce and some soy sauce and they made a perfect canvas for us to make our own little masterpiece. Entrées are definitely something you should bring a friend or 2, maybe 3 to share with. Especially if you plan on appetizers and/or sushi. We just did dine-in and can't wait to try it tepanyaki style!

My daughter turned 19 years old today and the country happens to be on lock down for the pandemic. She really wanted teppanyaki experience for her birthday but since we couldn't go out to eat we called and placed a take out order. We ordered a bunch of food for our family and this restaurant really came through! They delivered it (for free!!! probably a COVID special), the food came on time, it was hot and fresh and SO GOOD! We were SO HAPPY! They even called an hour after we got our order to make sure everything was okay. They even threw in an orange Japanese soda pop for my birthday girl. I am so happy to support this business and will definitely be back once things get back to normal. In the meantime I would encourage anyone to call and place a take out order and get ready to be very happy!

It was so busy and fun last night. There were lots of families and laughing. Sushi was good. ????

Fresh. Variety. Dining options. This place is clean, well staffed and full of unexpected options. You can choose to eat at the sushi bar, normal dine-in tables or cooking tables. We started with a salad with ginger dressing (not the best one I've tasted) next time we will try the soy sauce dressing, and we had the soup made with chicken broth and mushrooms, YUM! The sushi options were amazing, great combinations,very quickly prepared and fresh tasting. We also ordered tempura veggies that were very pleasing. We didn't see any downside to this eatery and we will go back again. Just a warning: the parking lot is very small so don't think Ryu is full when you see the parking lot is. There are more parking spaces near by.
