Backyard Taco - University

This place has, hands down, the best, most authentic tacos in Mesa. The salsas were all delicious and had the right amount of space and the meat was tender and juicy. I tried all of their tacos and you can't go wrong with any of them, don't be afraid to order one of each!

Burrito was okay. Quality of meat was an issue, it's not okay for me to be getting gristle every bite when I pay that for a burrito. Atmosphere was really cool, place was clean, everything came out quickly. Just wished I could've finished my food, but it was too gross to eat.

Took my husband there for the first time and he loved it!! The tacos are amazing, and the service is very quick it was 1:30pm and the place was busy. It is affordable good food and Tuesdays they have discounted tacos.we will be back definitely!!!

It's very difficult to find a good Mexican food place when you've been used to your regular favorites in a different state. But trying Backyard Taco, I have no regrets!

Very delicious and hearty portions of foods. One of my favorite places to come to. Whether it's a Chicken Quesodilla or a Beef/Steak Burrito... It's a very satisfying and worth the money meal.

Have to update my review:
Service is always unfriendly. One time they got upset towards me when someone grabbed my food and walked out with it when they handed it to them without checking their receipt. But I still agree the salsa bar is great. It's a bit expensive though.

You could get addicted to the food here! You must try the Papa Loca! The salsa bar is amazing. So many options like cucumbers, radishes, many different salsas. It's usually pretty busy but worth the wait!
