We were hesitant to try this new restaurant based on the mixed reviews. But my parents went there a few weeks ago and enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, my parents remarked that several items were not cooked as well as previously. The potatoes, cauliflower, brocollini, and more were all undercooked. Also the portion sizes for entrees could have been larger. I understand why the food is expensive, and I'll pay a lot of money for good food, but this food was just not cooked with skill. Also everything was too salty. However the drinks were very good.
The server was friendly but not attentive. Several times we made eye contact, which is usually enough for the server (who was not very busy on a week day) to come by and see what we need, but instead she just smiled at us and continued on. We had to actually wave at her to get her attention. She never asked if we wanted to order entrees or desert.
Unfortunately, we do feel like we overpaid for the experience we had. This restaurant has the potential to be great if they train their staff (chef/kitchen staff and servers) better for a more consistent experience. If not then they need to lower their prices because you can get WAY better food and ambiance elsewhere.
The recommendation to try this new location was a gift for the west side of the valley. The food was delicious, the service top notch and great atmosphere. The menu was diverse. We will be back to try more wonderful home made dishes.
🍽️ With two visits to The Stetson Social, I found the Caesar salad and cauliflower wings decent, yet a sprinkle more flavor and salt could have propelled them to greatness. On the other hand, the drinks? Absolutely stellar! 🍹🍷 Crafted with finesse and flair.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 out of 5)
Immerse yourself in upscale ambiance and indulge in remarkable libations. While the food gracefully performs, it’s the drinks that truly steal the spotlight. Raise your glass to The Stetson Social—an upscale haven of culinary delights and captivating sips! 🥂🌟
STELLAR Stetson Social! Living in Scottsdale, culinary excellence is abundant. However, Stetson Social-will worth the drive! Each dish perfect; subtle & unique. Kudos to the wine selection-clearly carefully curated! I especially enjoyed the music, excellent choice(vol.level, perf) matches the clean open design. For me, this adds to my overall dining experience. Bravo
We've been waiting to try this new restaurant in North Peoria that would rival Postinos with the small sharable plate dishes, wine, and cocktails. We ordered several dishes to try. The albondigas were delicious. Sticky ribs were amazing. I definitely would order those again. Patatas Bravas is also delicious. The baklava cheesecake did not disappoint.
Now for the two things that did disappoint. We ordered the stetson flatbread, although delicious, I was surprised at how small it was compared to the photos that were posted before on here. It's literally half the size. I went back to see the receipt and it looks like they lowered the price to $13, unlike the $18 price tag that they have listed on their current online menu (plus, they only had two selection on the menu at the restaurant, not four, like the online menu says). These are probably recent changes they did, but I felt misled by the photos from just a week ago.
The other disappointing dish I was very excited to try was the grilled octopus. I love octopus, so I was really looking forward to trying this dish, especially after seeing the picture on here, which looked like a decent serving for $24. But what we got was a plate of mostly potatoes with the sauce. I kept looking around for more, but we maybe got 6 little chunks of octopus on the entire plate. It felt redundant ordering the patatas bravas because now we got like two plates of potatoes. Unlike the photo posted a couple of weeks ago, that looked like 2 decent size tentacles with some potatoes. I definitely wouldn't recommend ordering that again unless this was just a fluke.
With that said, though, we would definitely come back and try all the other dishes.
The service was great. Our server, Michelle, was friendly and attentive.
