Dilla Libre Food Truck (Formerly United Lunchadores)

I thought this place was average 1 year ago when I had Al Pastor tacos. Last week I had the Mole and I finally understood why this is place is special--that is an example of one of their next level dishes.

This is not just the best quesadilla place in the valley, and it's not just one of the best places for unique eats with a ton of personality, it's one of he best restaurants in town period.

The food is insane. Bring a fire extinguisher because the Mac Daddy will light your face on fire with how good it is. Everything was good. The elote is the best elote I have had anywhere, ever.

Oh and the drinks? Obscene. The mezcal selection is, as far as I can tell, unrivaled in Phoenix. The cocktails are really good, on par with places like Undertow but without being conceited.

Oh, and the staff? So damn friendly. Some of the nicest wait staff I've ever encountered. One of the owners was bussing tables, apparently not above any task, and he sat with us and talked mezcal, creating a mezcal flight for us.

So go here. This place should absolutely be on everyone's best of Phoenix list. Right now it's an excellent local spot a bit hidden, but get it while you can, it's so damn good it won't be hidden for long.

This place has had a zillion names over the years but the menu is always the same roughly and always better every time I eat it: the steak and blue is SOLID but you really can’t go wrong.

The quesadillas are amazing but don't ever order a bowl. The bowls we ordered were not good at all

Food Truck Excellenté - Dude - I was like going to take a picture, but I barely tasted a corner of it and that’s that - couldn’t stop eating. The Sellout with Steak and Chicken was über delicious. Don’t pass these guys without getting a taste.
