la Madeleine French Bakery & Café Phoenix

I really love this place and what it provides for its customers. Many people in the southwest will never go to France and experience French food. La Madeleine in downtown Phoenix offers a great selection of French food fare so that everyone can enjoy a taste of France.

The staff here was amazing. The manager started talking to us about the nearby businesses and he challenged me to eating spicy food from a Thai place if I can handle Monroe's chicken. So not only did I get amazing service, pastries, and a free coffee but super cool conversation and the staff again was amazing. There was a lady chef there too she was amazing and super sweet telling us how we'd just missed the crowd... I don't know who hired and fires there but they have amazing people skills. Lovely environment!

Love, love, LOVED it. From the servers, to the food, it was all great. Not expensive, definitely worth the price. So appealing and cozy. They have fresh bread for you to take with you, cute pastries to pick from, cute employees, funny accents. You have to go and see for yourself. It's my favorite place yet.

Five stars all the way! Accidentally ended up here after our breakfast joint had a 45 minute wait. I had the American breakfast and dark roast French coffee. Everything was cooked to perfection and even more delicious going down. My girlfriend had the croissant French toast and traded me a few bites. I can say without doubt the environment and food will be bringing me back. For a busy Saturday morning the mood was quiet, with classical music on the radio it was pleasant from our normal hectic breakfast joint.

Everyone was friendly and helpful - I got it to go and still tipped they were that good. The FOOD was amazing! Ham and asiago cheese danish - couldn't be more delicious. And the mini fruit tart with custard - even the crust was heavenly! Everything was amazing. Can't wait to go back!
