If I could give this -100 stars I would. Just kidding this place is fabulous!! I don’t think I have ever had a meal where EVERYTHING had such flavor. We had the Chatter Napa Cabage, Elote Espeical, Short Ribs, and Horchata Cuatro Leches. Make sure you make a reservation because this place is small but definitely worth it. They do have inside bar and patio seating (it’s actually on the sidewalk) so no alcohol outside, though you are under adorable trees dressed up for the season. The great thing is the bar and patio seating is reserved for walk-ins so you still get a chance to dine here if you can’t get a reservation. The owner/chef Rene was actually running food, picking up our empty plates and was very interactive! He was wonderful to talk to and we had no idea who he was until we asked! This place has delicious food and is such a vibe, definitely will be back!
So good! It took a while to finally get a reservation, but if you are in PHX, you need to try this place.
Very small. Really, really attentive service. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and seemed to enjoy working there.
I will be going back.
It has great decor and a nice atmosphere. They seem to be quite the busy little restaurant. There was an hour wait if we wanted to sit inside. The other inside seating is booked out for a whole month. You can only reserve a table from one place online but unfortunately I haven't forgotten what that is. We were able to be seated outside and the wait was minor. The staff was not to on their toes and even though my friend ordered a large cup of ice water, we had to not only wait while, then remind them about it, but they kept just filling up the tiny glass they initially give you. I'll chalk the slowness up to they were busy. The food was fantastic though! Sauces were on point. So freaking goood.
This is an amazing place. Sadly the seating is very limited, so that is an issue they can't overcome in their current location. It is worthwhile, but be prepared to wait. Food doesn't come quickly either, but it is amazing, so that is a worthwhile bargain. Drinks are nice, well made, and expensive. Ceviche and tomahawk steak are both top notch dishes, although the tomahawk is of course pretty pricey. Nice celebratory dinner for two, with some apps, drinks, and the tomahawk is going to be a few hundred. Well worth it, but be prepared. Menu isn't large, but make sure to ask about the specials that aren't listed, as they are worthwhile.
BEST STEAK AND OCTOPUS IN TOWN HANDS DOWN!! We sat by the bar, staff was very friendly and very informative. The owner is so down to earth. Such a cute local family owned business to support while enjoying an amazing meal and in comfortable/home vibe. We are definitely going back!! P.S: no reservations, go early and stand in line before they open, definitely worth the wait!
