Found this place driving by… a little hole in the wall, European style. Great service! Sonja was awesome and answered my questions on the wonderful breakfast options. Fabulous European pastries is what we ordered … this visit. We will be back!’ Adding a photo of the Cherry Pita. Yum!
We shared a phenomenal meal at Cafe Balkan!! The service was great and the owner chatted with us about her home in that part of the world. We had just returned from Montenegro and thoroughly enjoyed her sweet company! We will be back whenever we are in the Phoenix area.
I'm very happy that Phoenix has a sit-down restaurant where I can have delicious Balkan food!
I recently went with some friends, and I can't wait to go again! We all had different meals and shared them. The flavors were incredible, and the portions are really generous (they provided us with to-go boxes for our leftover).
Visit this charming cafe in Phoenix as a favor to yourself! The level of service is unparalleled. Your experience is something that the team genuinely cares about.
Absolutely the best meal I had in Arizona! Highly recommended!
I went to get some food to go. Got the pljeskavitza, they have two kinds. It was ready quickly and it was amazingly tasty 😋 The portions are huge! The food is like home made. Highly recommend this restaurant. Good selection of desserts too. Also has a mini market for some yummy stuff
This place had a soft opening this past Wednesday and Thursday and I can tell you from the first experience this will be a great addition to Phoenix area if you like food from the Balkan region of Europe. The place itself is very pleasant and it has great ambiance. Staff were very nice and friendly. I had their version of burger called Pljeskavica and it was one of the best ones I have had in my life. I also tried Sarma or cabbage rolls, lamb shank, chicken soup and goulash, over two day period, and all of the food was excellent. I forgot the pastry case is amazing for customers with sweet tooth. I am definitely going back for more.
