Truly the most divine pastry I've ever had. Can't wait to try all! (Also truly the most terrible drip coffee I've ever had, but probably for the best so I won't spend all my money in one place.)
Food is always great. I appreciate that they use many organic ingredients. And they make by far the best chocolate croissants I've found in AZ.
First off its very clean, you can see the care everywhere. The staff is helpful and dont rush you. Parking looks small but behind the building is a small lot.
Lots of treats both savory and sweet. Its a win in my book, and a must try, esp if you have family in from out of town.
-Enjoy
This place is awesome! Had their Spanakopita (which is the best I’ve ever had) and a chocolate macaroon. Also took home a chocolate croissant for later.
I definitely see myself coming back. So many neat things in the menu that I want to try.
Essence Bakery (and Cafe) is probably Phoenix’s best kept secret (although it isn’t very secret at all!) This morning is my fourth visit to Essence in a week!
Eugenia’s Hot Cereal was on the menu this morning and it is an excellent choice! Smothered with pecans and a dollop of vanilla yogurt, this hot cereal integrates oats, bran, flax and other healthy grains into a bowl of organic goodness mixed with almond milk. It’s hearty and filling and delicious!
The croissants are perfect and the absolute best I’ve ever had in the states! This place is known for its use of organic and locally grown produce, too. Prices are relatively fair ~ and the quality is beyond excellent! I’m going to enjoy my visits to Essence whilst in Phoenix!
