First time at Logan's and really enjoyed atomaspher and the food was great. When the wife and I walked in we pleasently greated by a charming hostess. I was not sure if we were going to stay or go to competition next door, but she convinced us to stay. David was our waiter and he is great! Always smiling and had answers to my questions. One question I had is, "what is up with the spoonful of rice" - see picture. He said it is a garnish. I must get out more, never heard of rice as a garnish but the food was great. We were completely full when we finished the meal. We also had the manager/GM stop buy and asked us how we were doing. I also noticed here cleaning tables -so I took my second picture. The final picture is the bill for two. I recommend Logan's and will be back.
Detailed review: Pros/Cons & Summary
Pros:
-The wife and I have enjoyed coming here for years because of its convenient location next to our house and the country ambiance is really nice.
-The food selection is decently varied for a steakhouse, and some dishes are better than others.
-The loaded baked potatoes are a high point.
- I love that you can drop the peanut shells on the floor.
- The layout of the restaurant is a nice open area, not cramped like Texas Roadhouse.
- All of the salads are top-notch.
- The wait staff is average to good.
- The food response time is average, and it can vary.
Cons:
-The entree portions are kind of small, especially for the prices.
-The nachos used to be good but they seem to have switched to a deep fried potato chip which makes the entire dish too heavy.
Summary:
The primary reason for 3 stars and not 4 stars is the food is by and large TOO SALTY. From the nachos to the hamburgers to the sauteed onions and mushrooms and perhaps more. The food tastes good, there's just too much salt.
If your taste buds are used to salty meals, and you are looking for a festive ambiance, you can have a good time at Logan's (and not all dishes here are over-salted). But if you want a good Steakhouse experience, most of the other Steakhouse chains will outperform in terms of food quality. If you want a fun country outing and you're not a foodie, Logan's can be a great stop for the family or a dinner date.
Ps. I will agree with many of the 1-3 star reviews written here that this Logan's was great a few years ago, but they seemed to have slipped since then.
We went here on Valentine's Day. Every dish the 4 of us ordered was scrumptious! The steaks were perfectly cooked as ordered! The manager came to the table asking how everything was and the waiter was professional and friendly! I stopped the manager when we left and told him I'd leave a review because we all enjoyed our meals. Wish they still served prime rib! But everything was perfect otherwise! Highly recommend!
Typical country style roadhouse with tasty steak options. I enjoyed the interior setting and the meal was decent for the price. Out server was very friendly and helpful. Peanuts are free!
