I love the creative forces that went into this location. At its heart, Wren just makes great beer. Really really great beer. Award winning beer. This location will be the next feather in their hat. It has the heart of a euro beer hall and the perfect food menu to go with it. They chose a perfect location and they brought the same great customer service attitude from their phx location. 5 stars to the people that made this place happen.
The Wren team really knocked it out of the park with their Südhalle taproom. Vibrant, welcoming space with plenty of parking and seating. An impressive bar setup with 15+ taps, 8 of which are Lukr side pull faucets. Selection is a mix of Wren House's award-winning beers and expert German & Austrian selections, including many we've rarely or never seen in Arizona, plus a to-go cooler with plenty of bring-home options.
The onion rings and pretzel were both great. The rings were cooked perfectly, with a nice crunch and sweet onion flavor, while the pretzel had a crispy exterior and came with a unique goat cheese dip that provided a sharp contrast to the sweet, chewy interior. Looking forward to sampling the rest of the menu, especially some delicious-sounding burgers.
We live quite a distance from this location but plan on making it a regular destination, it truly is a one-of-a-kind spot in the Phoenix area.
Ok so Ally knocked it out of the park again!! And she was assisted by Cass who rocked it!! These two alone make it all worthwhile.... but... The food and the beer can speak for themselves... You won't regret stopping here for some easy libations and scrumptious affordable food.
Service is great. Beer choices are great. Some wren originals but more European beers. Kitchen looks to be doing a small menu soon. Burgers and small bites. Bring the sweater because the indoor bar area Might be chilly haha.
Excellent spot and so glad they picked the location they did! This part of the valley is starved for great places like Wren House. We were among the first through the doors this morning. What a treat! Kudos Wren House. Well done!
