Really, really good pickled foods from cucumbers to watermelon rinds. Very creative meat-centric dishes. Unique rotating specials really show off the kitchen's strength. On my visit, they were making "sushi" and having you order it on little sheets. It had meat and cured veggies, but was rolled in seaweed and sliced like sushi. The marrow bone as as good as any I've had, and you can get the bartender to pour a shot of whiskey down your throat using it. In all a wonderful place with good service (we were the first ones in, it got busy before we left).
Very cool and funky place. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Food is good. Would come back from California for this place!!
I almost hesitate leaving a review for Pig and the Pickle. Not for any bad experience but out of my own greed in order to keep it hidden. This restaurant is fantastic. Truly one of the best spots in Scottsdale. I have been 10+ times and will continue to come back. The service is always good and the wait staff is consistently friendly. The chef has a rotating menu, and there is always something new and creative. The whiskey selection is great and the atmosphere is inviting!
Happy hour favourite - great prices for starters and cocktails. We have ordered the pork rinds on every visit , nice and salty to go with drinks. Mac n cheese starter tastes great and is big enough to have as a meal. The sandwiches are huge so great for sharing. Local art for sale inside. Outside seating a bit noisy.
Food was amazing. Marrow is a must have. Staff was friendly, the manager was very good, the dessert was to die for, and the kitchen was open so you could see how clean it was. Delicious! If we are ever back in Arizona this is definitely on the list of must stops.
