Uncle Sals

Uncle sals is a great place for a date, or to hang out at the bar. I barely come here anymore. The service is good, clean surfaces, very busy in the evenings. the bar gets crowded pretty fast. I lot of old folks hanging out, watching sports. Kid friendly by the way.

Yum!! We were visiting from WI and stopped at a local bar before going for dinner, we asked what he recommended for Italian and Uncle Sal's is where we ended up! Pictured is their Veal Parmesan entree and Bruschetta appetizer! We had good service and even though we sat outside when it was a little chillier (closer to 60°) they had the outdoor heaters which worked just fine. And plenty of leftovers! I would definitely recommend and go back next time I'm in town!

The food was good.

Servers are not trained to get a manager when an issue arises beyond servers resolution ability.

Managers resolve issues when sought out directly by customer, but dont communicate their intentions well.

First off, let me say that I really do enjoy Uncle Sal's. It's busy for a reason and that is because it has amazing food and a really comfortably, cozy atmosphere. Though located in a typical Arizona strip mall, walking in is like wandering into your Italian uncle's living room (or I would presume as I, sadly, don't have an Italian uncle). The best part about this uncle is that he makes some amazing dishes.

Having been a few times and snacked off companions' plates, I would recommend the veal and chicken dishes above everything else. I haven't had one that hasn't wowed, while the pasta and pizzas are just fine.

The thing about the place being crowded is that the wait staff gets overwhelmed. It can be hard to order anything after the food order is placed—if you want more wine, you might be out of luck. But I keep going back because it's that good!

I have traveled the world! And Uncle Sals Escargot continues to be the best I've had!
France Italy Spain England.... nope. I come back every time I can when in Phoenix!
I've had almost every dish over the years and I love it all. If you're looking for an amazing Italian Restaurant... look no further. Uncle Sals will not disappoint.
If you're cost conscious, just go for lunch.
