CALA Scottsdale

We had an 8:30 reservation and the restaurant was busy so we waited an extra 30 minutes to be seated. To make up for this, the restaurant provided us three free apps (big group). Although interior is really aesthetic, food was ok. I’ve had better truffle pizza, it wasn’t anything special especially for the price. Music selection was good (house) but loud so conversations were not the easiest to be heard. However, we celebrated a birthday and they were quite accommodating to this with a sparkler + something for the table. Overall fun place to go celebrate.

Beautiful restaurant interior and vibe. Unfortunately, the food and service not so great. My server, while very nice, would disappear for long stints. I was there to grab a light lunch and do some work on my laptop on a Monday, so that didn’t bother me so much. I ordered the Feta Tzatziki dip, which was delicious, but every vegetable that was served for dipping was old, dry, literally dirty (unrinsed), or browning. At first glance, the presentation was beautiful, but turned out to be pretty gross. I ordered some soft pita bread and skipped the veggies.

Beautiful place that is very esthetically pleasing. Nice outdoor seating with two large bars. You need to make a reservation and even then you may still be waiting. The food was good and our server was great. Prices are high, but so if everything in the area. Pizza and pasta were amazing. Salmon was ok and lamb was good.

We had a good meal here at CALA for a bachlorette party- if you go here make a reservation no matter what- it fills up fast especially if you have a big group. The drinks are good and the food is pretty good as well. I ordered the salmon and everything was very good It was just a bit overcooked for my taste but the flavor was great! I tried my friends pizza as well and that was very good! The espresso martinis are also very yummy and make for a great pick me up if you plan on running around the city at night with the abundant night life. This is a cool place to check out!

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday morning bachelorette brunch with a group of 8 (reservation made prior). Everyone LOVED their drinks! Our food took a little longer than expected, but everyone was pleasantly impressed with their meals. The atmosphere is unmatched. The abundance of plants, macramé, dishes — every little detail was perfect. We will definitely be back!
