The AZ Fry Guy A Taste of Soul

1st time visiting. Party of 3 one was a child. We were seated and served promptly. Ordered fried catfish greens fries chicken tenders and Mac n cheese. Nice portions delicious crispy not soggy. Clean restrooms.

The fried catfish was excellent, the greens( didnt have that southern taste I'm used to) the decor inside is very warm, open and inviting. I would go back to dine with friends. I did have the impression that it was a southern soulfood restaurant. All in all good experience

I'd give them 10 ⭐ if I could! I've been here twice, and both times were amazing! The employees are all great, and the food is fantastic! There's live jazz every Fri evening! I got to experience it tonight, and they were awesome! This is a one of a kind experience in surprise! I highly recommend giving them a try!

The live music last night was LIFE to Surprise! The place was packed and full of energy. The customer service was excellent, very friendly. The owner was visiting the patrons. Live music every Friday night 6:30-8:30. Exactly what we needed in Surprise! Blues, jazz, plus. Great interior decor. Can’t wait to sit out on patio sometime too. Brand new so let’s give them a chance and support. Our group will be Friday night regulars and trying Chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits with Mimosas this Sunday!

I was glad to see the new location open just as my Arizona vacation was starting. Came in on a Friday night and was promptly seated. We tried the fried catfish, fried chicken wing, fried chicken breast, and fried pork chop. The sides were yams, greens, mac and cheese, and green beans. Everything was cooked to order and perfectly fried. Exceptionally good southern fried staples served in a very nice new dining room by a friendly staff.
