I give four stars because of Peter. He is engaging and has a passion for cooking. Would like to have more seafood or typical bistro food selection. Wine selection is very generic and unsophisticated. Higher quality wine would help. Staff is friendly and accommodating, food quality is good but not over the top. Place needs more ambiance. It feels very sterile. But Peter makes the place and is to be commended for his effort and passion. Soups are very good, but salad bar is lacking.

We were with a group of 8 for breakfast. The service was good and the food was a little above average. Prices were quite affordable. The atmosphere was above average. Will definitely return.

    October 2019:
I went with five friends. Much discussion of what to order. I had the soup and the liver with onions (Wednesday special). The soup was quite good. The liver and onions was very good. My biggest complaint was there was eat too much liver. My suggestion is to halve the amount of liver, 50% more veggies maybe and maybe knock a dollar or two off the price. Shrug.

I heard the quesadilla was excellent. So was the chicken cranberry salad. Chicken kebab was also a winner. Fried shrimp and fries were great. The person who ordered the beef stroganoff said there were too many mushrooms. (There's such a thing as too many mushrooms?)

Service was friendly and quick. Almost everyone very happy. Except the anti-mushroom nut.

    September 2019:

Went there today with friend. This is by far the best of this location's restaurant reincarnations since at least My Favorite Martin's.

I got the gyro - it was good, but not great. My friend ordered the shrimp and fries. WOW! THAT was great. Really one of the best I've ever had - and I'm picky.

Service was also great. We'll be back!

I have eaten here many times and the food and service have been excellent everytime. The Chef even comes around to see how your meal was. I love that! They have karaoke on Tuesday and Thursday starting at 4pm. Poker on Saturday, open to everyone and it is very fun.

This is the hidden gem in the center of surprise. As a breakfast aficionado I have to say until I found this place I was dissapointed in the breakfast options around Surprise. This bistro is off the beaten path which makes it ideal for a quiet low key atmosphere, and the food is amazing. Always fresh, delicious, and we'll presented.
