Monroe's Hot Chicken - Tempe

Takes a little while to get your food, but it's ALWAYS fresh, so it's worth the wait. Everything I've had so far was bomb. Tried the 'What the cluck' spice level today, and it's legit! Do NOT order it unless you really do spicy 😂

O boy was this good!!!! My taste buds were not ready for this experience at all. So perfectly cooked - made to order as you prefer. 4 levels of hot and good sides of pairing. Almost felt like the portions are good to share/split. So so worth it.
There is plenty of parking in the garage and there was plenty of room to sit and enjoy an amazing meal with perfect the weather.

This was my second visit and I really love the theme! I enjoyed looking at all the mugshots on the wall.

Ordering was easy, at a kiosk, but there wasn't really anyone to ask questions. They all seemed to be working. I couldn't ask about sauces or what else to order. I got the chicken sandwich, hot, with a side of crinkle fries. The fries were good, not too salty. The sandwich had an awesome batter and the bread was good. I wish it had a sweet sauce option to go with it. The chicken was spicy enough to open up my sinuses! My fave!

The food was super fresh as it took a while after ordering. I'll definitely go back to try some of the other sides and options.

The best fried chicken sandwich I have ever had! I chose medium which packed a good amount of heat. The fries were well seasoned and crispy. Their Agave cream soda was delicious on a 93 degree day. There’s a chalk outline of a dead body when you walk I the door. Mug shots of celebrities line the walls. They played old school hip-hop music. The staff was very helpful and the got orders out quickly.

Man oh man! Listen if you haven't been here yet, trust me when I tell you that the hype is 100% factual and accurate! The chicken is cooked fresh, it's a plump juicy chicken breast fried perfectly with the right amount of batter and its delivered with a crunch and crisp! I had the medium and it had the right amount of heat, not too over bearing and the heat is delivered from the spices. A perfect combination with the slaw and pickles adds a nice coolness to complete the perfect sammich! And the fries....whew weeeee the seasoning and the sauce on point!
