Mesa Italiana Restaurant

Oh my goodness, words cannot describe how amazing this was. The food was ready pretty quick, maybe about 15 minutes. I shared some food with my family, so I got to try a few different dishes (all pasta) . Immediately I was overwhelmed by the amazing sauce. I swear I almost cried, this was the best sauce I've ever had. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and delicious. I might see if I can buy some of the sauce to bring home, this stuff is so freaking good. If I lived here, I would visit regularly but unfortunately I'm only here on vacation. My younger sister was slightly disappointed by the small amount of sauce on her kids spaghetti, but it was still a decent amount. 9.75 out of 10

Really good Italian food. My wife and I split the chicken Alfredo and it was just about the right portion size. Sauce was not as thick as I'm used to but it was still good. We both would have had leftovers if we each got our own. You need to enter through the bar and then go through a closed door to get to the restaurant. House made Italian dressing is really good.

So I’m traveling back to SoCal and before heading to Mesa from the 40, I stopped for fuel and thought, I really need to eat because it’s going to be late when I get there. So I check for local restaurants and found the Mesa Italiana just down the street. I read the reviews and was interested in trying it out. I ordered the Veal Marsala with extra mushrooms and garlic extra garlic bread instead of salad. The garlic bread was delicious, fresh baguette toasted with garlic butter and sliced thin so you can eat it easily. The homemade veal Marsala with house sauce was very good. I would recommend this restaurant if you are passing by and want some great food.

Excellent food, excellent service. Great Italian food in a very unexpected location. Easy on / off access from I40. They also have great pizza! And their prices are very reasonable. You can't go wrong stopping for a meal here!
