Great coffee, fun environment. Panaderia (bread store) next door ????????
The aesthetics were worth it. Coffee was fine
Presta coffee is a staple of Mercado San Agustin. They expertly craft every drink and never fail to please. After a delicious authentic Mexican dinner across the courtyard I always stop in. I really enjoy the nitro cold brew, goes great with a fresh baked sweet bread from the bakery next door. Keep doing your thing, Presta!
This place is a Tucson gem, the staff are wonderful and knowledgeable about all things coffee, including tastings, espresso, roast, varietals, washes, and regions where beans grow. They have really promoted a positive community of coffee drinkers in Tucson.
I have been to an number of tastings, which are open to public and free, and have been impressed with the non-elitist attitude than can be prevalent at higher end coffee shops. The leader of the tasting broke down each component of the process, describing the amount of water, expected and unexpected tasting notes, waiting time in between, scraping, and finally the rounds of tastings where the flavors change as the coffee cools. There was a good amount of experimentation as well, which I found refreshing.
If looking for a great cup of coffee, or a place to catch up on some emails over a premium beverage, or even chat with the locals about rad bike spots, presta is the jam!
Incredible experience, great coffee and tea. Beautiful ambiance and setting!
