The Drunken Chicken

I’m from the south and you know we know our fried chicken! I have lived in Arizona for the last 13 years so I was ecstatic when I heard about this place because finding good fried chicken in Arizona is like pulling teeth. The food looks bomb but definitely isn’t all that great. It’s the flavor profiles that are lacking really for me! The “fried chicken” batter tasted like “funnel cake” batter which was off putting for me especially since I got the chicken and waffles so you can imagine my surprise when my chicken tasted similar to my waffle. 🤷‍♂️ I didn’t really like it but I give 3 stars for effort.

Big portions and super hot (temp). The maple varieties are good too. Always have some left over.

Got the BLAACKED OUT chicken sandwich which was awesome!! Spicy way was not too hot , bacon was very crisp and not greasy. The 2 chicken “patties” seemed to be just flattened breast slices (fried with a thin crust) — all good. A great meal ! Long beer list too

Recently got dinner at The Drunken Chicken on a bit of a whim. My partner and I thought the menu sounded delicious, and luckily, everything was delicious. We got the shredded BBQ chicken sandwich and chicken and waffles. Both were so good and seemed handmade (no frozen waffles or chicken). I loved that they have tons of options for dipping sauces, like spicy ranch and bourdon maple syrup. The portions were generous and we both had enough to eat for lunch the next day. I love that this place has a great beer selection as well. Service was helpful and prompt. Would definitely come back for more!

Great place to eat! Food was great and our in good timing. Great customer service from Kurt and Raoul! And nice time with other customers.
