The Lotus Garden Cantonese and Szechuan

Update: I have reluctantly taken off a star because it seems like every time I order for pickup, something ends up missing. Today it's just the rice that's absent, but an entire meal often fails to make it into the box.

It's incredibly frustrating to have to go back to the restaurant every single time, and I don't think I'd be willing to do it if it weren't for how close it is to me.

The food is delicious, the ambiance is very pleasant, and the staff are quick and helpful.

I've had issues with ordering food for takeout, though. There's an online order interface, but it goes directly to the owner- whether or not he is at work. Meaning you can submit an order and have nothing happen at all. Ordering by phone is the only real way to go, but you would never know.

I've also had a few situations where we received an incorrect order. But the staff has always been able to fix it promptly. It just requires me to be careful and double-check the order.

My husband had eaten here when he was a young boy with his family. He said the food was as good as he could remember. It was nice to know that it is still owned by the same family as it was years ago. I thought the food was fabulous. I haven't had food that good in a long time. If you're looking for somewhere new or an old favorite - you have to eat here!!
