Had read good reviews on the place so thought we'd try it on our vacation.. You will definitely get your money's worth! Quite an extensive menu too. We ordered the 'little less' meals so were quite surprised at the portion sizes. All the food was very good. Only problem was one of our meals was either wrung up wrong or more likely written down wrong by our (recently hired) waiter so that meal did cost a bit more than expected. Didn't realize it till we left so did not ask about it. We would definitely eat there again though.

This is my Families FAVORITE restaurant! People that have NEVER been here LOVE it and make it their favorite diner as well! Prices are very good and the portions are big so you will have a to go box for sure. The WHOLE staff is friendly and have a sense of humor. Very helpful in trying to accommodate you.

**I so wish I would have taken pictures, but there are plenty on their site.

This was a first time visit for me with my cousins who are regulars here. It was about 8:00pm on a Friday. It was hopping with customers, but we had only 3 groups in front of us and waited about 15 minutes for a table.

Our waiter was friendly, personable, and helpful. I ordered the smoked brisket Benedict (a delicious surprise of smokey, tender goodness!) and hash browns but it also came with fresh fruit and either pancake or grits with cheese and butter. It came on a platter and 2 side dishes!! It was WAY too much food for me, BUT I took it home and shared it for breakfast with my daughter. So, BEWARE of portions, share or take home. Take this into account when seeing the prices.

My cousins ordered French toast, his favorite, and she had the Parmesan sourdough burger plate with sweet potato fries which again was generous and she took half home.

I will return and have already recommended to friends and family!

** Please LIKE my review, if it helps you!

This was our first visit to Black Bear Diner. Excellent food and service!!! Clean and well organized. Refreshing to see all the employees helping each other out to take care of the customers. My family had the meatloaf, western bbq burger, chicken pot pie, and for dessert coconut pie. Good value. So yummy!!! We WILL be back!!! Thank you!!!

Classic diner with broad menu featuring quality, freshly made dishes in a bright l, clean, homey, comfortable setting. My husband and I have eaten here regularly since they opened and have had consistently great food and service. The team here is genuinely friendly, efficient, and thorough and you can tell they enjoy their work.
The food is freshly made in-house including all soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, meat dishes, sauces and dressings, and baked goods and desserts. Portions are very generous and though the prices are slightly higher than chains you can make a second meal at home from many with takeaway leftovers. They also offer free refills of drinks including carry-out cups for coffee, tea and softdrinks. The only thing that I wish is that they were open later. This location closes at 10pm all week.
