“I had the seared scallops. The scallops were flavorful and cooked perfectly… I didn’t care for the guacamole or fried plantains served together with it. I tasted them together to try, wasn’t bad, just not my personal choice. Bravo on the Scallops though and the dessert was great too! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very friendly and provided great service. Overall it was a very nice experience, ambiance and service!”

“People can leave bad reviews all day but this place is great. I really enjoyed it. My wife got the salmon and while I wasn't impressed with it , it was good - the garnish of mango salsa helped it out. I got the meatloaf special , it had some bite to it and the mashed potatoes were definitely on point. Our mommas would have been proud. Staff was great. My wife and I were greeted by multiple staff and all were super kind. The food take a little longer than I would have preferred to come out but once everything was delivered it was pretty dang good. I was a bit hesitant of coming in due to the fact that restaurant is attached to a hotel which made me assume it would probably be pretty sketchy. But we were wrong. This is a good old place to go. You won't be let down.”

“4 stars due to length of service time due to heavy customer load, it was Desert Storm weekend. Clean facility, staff friendly though over loaded. Food was good and priced fair for what you received. Men's bathroom entrance could be a bit different as when you open the door, customers can see the urinals. Nice place to visit and eat, especially if you can get seats at the open windows over looking the street.”

“Great time for a Sunday night. Karaoke and friendly people. The bartender was great. Attentive, friendly, funny and inviting. The DJ was just what I like. He knows all the songs, doesn't make you dig through a book, and kept the singers singing. I had the pleasure of meeting some local people who were just as warm and inviting. And I ended up having a great time. Can't wait to come visit again!”

“Really nice atmosphere, themed restaurants seem to be hard to come by anymore, but its easy to see why Kon Tiki has been in business for as long as it has been. The menu is packed with hard-hitters taste wise, and the drink menu really has something for everyone. Be aware that there is a rule that they won't seat parties with kids past 7pm, so if you have kids with you, try to dine earlier in the evening.”

“It's dark in the best ways, there's an Elvira pinball machine and a jukebox with real CDs, absolutely amazing food, smoking patio, TV that seems to only play movies from before 2001, and the bartenders are all the good kind of sassy... It's an amazing goth/punk dive bar somehow hidden away on one of the busier avenues. Great atmosphere, definitely worth checking out.”

“We went in for dinner last night. The waitress was awesome! Very experienced and knowledgeable. Our party ordered a variety of items . Appetizers, the nightly special, sandwiches, and the fish fry. ALL were very good! The service was quick also. The only suggestion I would give is to hang something on the walls(rug, cork, large pictures) as the place was a little loud . “This is really a neat little place that I had no idea existed. There's actually a couple businesses inside of Singh Farms. What has happened is that Singh Farms has leased a portion of the golf course that exists inside the Indian Bend wash from the city of Tempe that Tempe abandoned. So there is several acres of nice golf ready tiff grass area in the wash that can be used for a variety of events car shows etc. The Barking Bodega has leased a portion of those grassy areas for a private dog park. And have opened up a small restaurant and pub catering to higher end better quality sandwiches beer and wine. The nice part is you can sit out next to the grass eat your food, beer or wine and have your dog playing in the grass nearby.”

“What a fantastic intimate venue in Central Phoenix! I have heard of it but had never been and was very impressed with what a great setup they have. Nice patios, an upper deck, a DJ in the front, a nice bar and good drinks with a decent tap menu. The music venue is surprisingly large and includes an area for merchandise and a couple more good size bathrooms with stadium seating and plenty of room for dancing or standing close to the stage.”

“My husband and I were very hungry after playing pickleball for several hours in the early morning. The pecan and blueberry pancakes "hit the spot" for me. They were hot and laced with plump, fresh blueberries and "locally grown" pecans. YUM! My husband had a big veggie omelet with Swiss cheese, which he really liked. So tasty! The service at this restaurant is quick and very friendly. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Give them a try. It is very nice family restaurant.”

I tried the Mediterranean Platter on the "soft opening" menu as well as the Cauliflower and was very happy with both. I cannot wait to make this a usual on my rotation of vegan eats in the valley.
