The food at Los Gallos has always been exceptional. I have had their Birria a couple times, Chile Verde, and a burrito today. I have not been disappointed in the food at all but the service is, meh. There is usually just 2 people working but even with only 2 tables they kind of forgot they had tables with customers.
Food: The quality of the food is great. It does seem very fresh. It also tastes pretty great as well. The chips seem very homemade which is always a plus. I ordered enchiladas and they did not skimp out on the fillings like most restaurants do. The rice had excellent flavor. There is nothing I can complain about when it comes to the food.
Value: I believe the things here are priced pretty similar here as to anywhere else you would go but maybe just a tad more expensive, but with the quality of ingredients, I think it evens out.
Service: The food came out very quickly. Quickly enough to where I was impressed. This is where it goes a little downhill. Not once did I see a smile on the servers (or any workers) face. We were never asked if we needed a refill on our drinks. We were never stopped in the middle of our meal to ask if everything was tasting good or if we needed anything else.
Presentation: I cannot complain at all here. Everything was presented beautifully, whether it was a burrito packed full with fillings cut in half to a drizzle of sour cream on enchiladas, everything looked beautiful.
Atmosphere: The overall “vibe” of this place was very off. There’s a lot of what seems like empty space. Typically in a Mexican restaurant you’ll see a lot of wall decor and hear that music playing and it brings energy and liveliness to your meal. This is not the case here. The walls were nearly empty and the only music playing was Coldplay. I do like Coldplay, just this isn’t what you expect when walking into an authentic Mexican restaurant. They truly need help when it comes to atmosphere.
I will say very authentic Mexican food. Reasonable prices. Friendly waiter. The only thing I would say they should hire more employees, poor waiter was the only one and doing everything at the same time.
We are deaf people and they treat us awesome service! All picture on food plate is amazing! But cheese dip and salsa taste like authentic and taste good. Rest of our food is amazing! I am considering this is best Mexican authentic or Mexican restaurant in Conway.
