“King Kone has been around for a long time and they have some tasty treats. Most of the time, I gotta have a shake or ice cream cone when driving by. Not today though, it was going to be a long day working at the desk and I needed some fuel. They have a good burger combo at a nice price but it wasn't speaking to me. I decided to go all in with a Jumbo Cheeseburger, Frito Pie, and a cup of Ice Cream. Yikes, my eyes were more hungry than my stomach but I ate it all eventually. The burger was well cooked and topped generously. It is Jumbo for sure and not an everyday meal. The Frito Pie was as good as it was in 1981 when I first tried it. How do they keep the chips so crunchy under all that chili? I live 30 minutes away and the chips were still crunchy. You can't go without ice cream and this is my favorite spot. The portion is huge and the price is awesome Great local spot with a nice menu full of items to satisfy anyone.”

“Great place with amazing food. Definitely a must try if you are gluten-free. My sandwich on gluten-free bread was amazing and the tomato soup is a must. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They made sure I knew the chips were fried in the same oil as some gluten items and offered me a substitute. They even have some gluten-free desserts! 😁”

“Good breakfast stop. Customer service was good. We went on a Sunday at 11am... all tables were full but wait was 5 minutes tops. Got our order quickly. We ordered off the breakfast menu. The #1 pancake with eggs, protein, #2 omelte, #3 biscuits and Gravy. A couple sides of breakfast potatoes, and a strawberry shortcake French toast. Chased it down with hot chocolates, fresh brew coffees, chocolate milk and orange juice. The cold drinks were bottles not poured. Everything was delicious.”

“My son wanted to eat pizza and I found this restaurant which was close by our hotel. I like the location. There are shops around there. I had read so many good reviews and maybe set my expectations too high. Went on a Wednesday night, only 1 table when we arrived so not busy. Food took a while. It didn't come as hot as I expected. They forgot my salad and bread for my eggplant parmesan so I had to request it. The pizza was alright. What we ended up enjoying was the bread since they actually brought it hot. More people kept coming and seems servers were struggling a bit. So not as great service. Really seemed like the place only had 1 cook and 2 young waitresses. That is why I give it a 3 star. Price is not bad for the food you get. But wish it would have been hot.”

“First of all this is my opinion. If you decide to visit this restaurant you might have a totally different outlook on things than I do. I say try it once and if it don't meet your standards you dont have to go back. Now as far as my experience goes is that they give you plenty of food for sure, but to me the food wasn't season enough like I like. I enjoy good southern food, but must be seasoned right for me to fully enjoy. The atmosphere is nice they have a lot of old antiques inside. The restaurant itself is actually an old house that they converted into an restaurant. So I give it a total of three stars because of the food not being totally up to par for me.”

“Oh, so delicious! We are stuffed AND happy! We had the whole chicken; pork ribs; brisket; coleslaw and baked beans. Chicken had such a good smoked flavor and it was moist in all the right places. The tea was delicious and unfortunately I wasn't able to take some to go because they ran out/: Coleslaw was a little slimy and I couldn't figure out why. It was good but too sweet and it could definitely use those celery seeds. Atmosphere was comfy and service was good.”

“I met with friends here and we were able to easily find a seat for five people. The server was very nice and was able to recommend drinks and food to us. She speaks fluent English and Spanish. Although young, she was an excellent server. She checked back after we got our food, which is an often forgotten step! Every employee that I interacted with here was very nice and helpful so we all felt at home. I ordered four tacos. These appeared to be authentic. The meat seemed dry on the outside but actually it was moist on the inside and I couldn't figure out how that was made! Everything had a lot of flavor. The food was slightly greasy but some would argue that makes it taste better. This food tasted good. I had tasted the burritos as well. They're somewhat more salty than I'm use to but they're loaded with ingredients. I believe some had rice along with meat and some had potatoes. I think my next meal here will be a burrito, rice, and beans if that's possible. We were given too much food. I couldn't eat everything. Oh, and I think the chips may be an extra charge, which I'm fine with, but I believe our chips were over-cooked. I didn't like them but the salsa is fabulous! The server will let you know if she thinks anything is too hot for you. You can ask but I found everything to be somewhat mild whereas my friend said it was pretty hot. You can decide but both mild and hot foods are available!”

“One of the best taco trucks I’ve been too and I’m usually picky about my tacos but these were awesome! The carnitas had great flavor and very tender, homemade tortillas too. “My two new favorite words are LOBBY FRIES. When you order they give you a red & white checkered piece of paper to put on your table. Then one of their wonderful, friendly, and very helpful staff comes over with a metal bowl with hot, fresh fries and ask if you would like some "Lobby Fries". They put it right there on the paper. The fries are very yummy, natural cut fries. They are cut right there at the restaurant, never frozen, they are fresh! We each got Combo #1 a single burger with fries and a drink. The burger was great and the fries awesome. All of the employees there were helpful and greeted you as soon as you walked in the door. They even give you a free sample of their ice cream at the end of your meal. And it is great ice cream. Can't wait to go back!”
