Sam's Southern Eatery (Russellville)

Awesome place!! The only thing I wish they did was fillet the catfish. I’ve gotten it twice and forgot they don’t fillet it, leaving me to eat around the fins and bones. Other than that, everything is great!!

Some of the best eating in Russellville. Portions are generous (had enough for dinner, too), the fried foods are not greasy AT ALL, and it's obvious the frying oil is fresh. The fried green tomatoes are the best I've ever had, the fish, shrimp, and chicken tenders were great, and my sides of red beans and rice and green beans were both fantastic. Our server Mandy was great, as well. 12/10 recommend. I think next time I will try getting everything grilled for a different experience. Just go!

Wow oh wow. Today was our first visit and we were totally blown away. The service was great. Mandy was our server and was so friendly and attentive. The food came fast and it was amazing. Fantastic. Seriously the other seafood place in town better step up. The fish fillets were substantial pieces not thin strips. Perfectly cooked and so flavorful. I could go on but everything was perfect. So flavorful and not greasy at ALL. Definitely a new favorite stop.

Very nice and clean. Fast service with great food. The Sam's Special is so good with the red beans and rice. And ya can't go wrong with the fried pickles! Nice clean restrooms. The servers was very tentative and nice. Not bad pricing for the amount of food. The shrimp poboy is outstanding as well.

My husband and I stopped there for lunch I had the grilled Shrimp salad with a Cajun flair. Simply put, it was delicious. My husband had grilled Shrimp and fish he enjoyed his meal as well.
By the way the portions are well let me put it to you this way, you won't go away hungry! Our waitress was both very hospitable and made sure We wanted for nothing. I would recommend stopping by for lunch yourselves,. you will be happy you did...
Prices are quite reasonable. Enjoy!!
