Delicious breakfast foods for the win!
TL:DR
You will love the sights, smells, and sounds of this centrally located brunch nook. Excellent food and service. Come during the week to avoid the wait.
Details:
This was a great spot for a midweek brunch with friends. No wait at 11:45, and the place never got too full while we were there (until 12:45).
The food was incredible. I HIGHLY recommend one of the poutines. Everyone raved about them, and I can confirm they were cheesy and savory and amazing.
Everyone was friendly, and the food got out fairly quickly for obviously cooked to order meals.
I can see why this place would be crowded on weekends for sure, but I didn't see any downside while we were there.
Bomb avocado toast… put on brioche bread, avocado was seasoned perfectly, and the spinach gave a nice crunch. The quality & color of the eggs/yolks look like they came from a coop behind the restaurant. The poutine was better than any that I’ve had in British Columbia or Alberta. Biscuits are buttery, light, fluffy on the inside, and crispy on the top. Definitely worth a visit.
Cute, small diner with a line out the door. Well worth the wait. Food is very good with very large portions. The mimosas are excellent. If you want well crafted dishes with fresh ingredients with a seasonally changing menu, it's here. Not cheap, but worth the money.
Party of 2 on a Sat afternoon. When you arrive someone will greet you, ask how many are in your party, and provide you with menus. You will stand in line, order, pay, and pick your seat. This place is small and I wouldn't recommend it for parties bigger than 5/6. They run a smooth ship. When you arrive all the seats may be full but they are efficient and seem to get people in and out. We waited maybe 10 mins for our food to arrive, it was delicious. We ordered chicken & waffles w/ a side of house hot sauce. We also ordered the breakfast sampler.
Absolutely delicious. I had been wanting to visit this place because it was always busy. Javier was so kind and so we're the ladies. At first I wasn't sure about the home fries so I wanted to sub but I couldn't. I am so happy that I couldn't because those home fries were so delicious. That biscuit tastes like they have somebody's grandma back there making them!! Everything was so fresh. That house hot sauce is the best I've had. I cannot wait to walk back over here. 💜
