Diablos Tacos & Mezcalería

Stumbled upon this gem of a place my first week in town while on business... The food was amazing, great atmosphere and friendly & helpful staff. Looking forward to one more meal here before I depart. Thank you for keeping my inner fat kid happy 😊

It was way over priced for what I received in portion size, but it all tasted good. The atmosphere was a little harder to measure, however it was pleasant and not hectic. My server/bartender was attentive to my request and noticed I didn't like ice water, so she had no problem getting me hot. She even explained how to pronounce an item I was interested in while giving me a suggestion on what might fill my taste buds. The next time I visit this location, I'll make sure I'll have enough $ in order to have more than just appetizers for a meal.

TL;DR: Not your typical Arkansas Mexican food. But that's a good thing. Food Is amazing and the service/atmosphere is awesome.

This place is atypical for Mexican in this area. No chips are served, the typical chicken cheese and rice is missing from the menu, and the bar menu has more varieties of mezcal (like tequila) than I could count.

That said, the menu has items I'm familiar with at more "homestyle authentic" Mexican restaurants (e.g. Birria) and some I've had at food trucks like street corn.

I had the Quesabirria. Three quesadillas soaked in salsa and served with the broth for birrias. Wow... Easily the best Birria I've ever had.

My wife had the Pollo Con Chorizo (chicken with Mexican sausage and cheese). It was also amazing. My wife said it's the best Mexican dish she's ever tasted. It comes with a side of tortillas.

My daughter had the kids quesadilla with fries. She inhaled it before we could get her to say of she liked it not. So I think we can assume it's good.

We also tried a Margarita Flight. My only advice is make sure you try the Piña Colada Margarita. It was by far the best of the four we tasted.

I'll be bringing people back here on my next trip to Little Rock.

10 mini tacos dish was great. We shared, and it was enough for two. Kids also got these and liked them. Very flavorful. Quick friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.

If you want chips and salsa, you do have to pay 3.5.
