One of the snazziest joints in town, and they know it. All of the food was excellent albeit pricey. Highlight for me was their cheese curds.
I was told that this bar was the best in Little Rock by multiple people, so I was excited to check it out. It's in a beautiful hotel downtown, and it's nice enough. The bartenders were friendly and my cocktail was fantastic. However, I found the food to be lackluster. The gnocchi had a good texture but needed some acid. The banana pudding was too sweet for me. I'd go back and order other things off the menu.
It's a hit or miss. The fish curry was good, the deviled eggs was unremarkable. I've had really good dishes in the past though. It is just not consistent as one would expect at a fine dining place.
I love pimento cheese, and this ranks better than my grandmother's, and that's saying something. We also loved the Short Rib Flatbread, the Cobb Salad, and the Southwest Salad with Shrimp. But by far the best entree was the Braised Short Rib. The brussel sprouts were cooked just right: a bit crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside; the short rib melted in my mouth. Unfortunately, there was a table of children seated near us who did what children do when their parents are at another table.
My husband and I came on a Saturday night with another couple. We made reservations on the Open Table app. We were seated immediately. We enjoyed the charcuterie board for an app. It was a nice size. We also got the fall salad and gumbo. Both were delicious. The drinks here are the best downtown. We love the ambiance. We will definitely be back.
