My wife and I went with two other couples. This was our second time to meet and eat there. We can’t wait to go back. Great food. We were not rushed to eat and leave so great atmosphere.
We visited the Rodney Parham location. Jax, the general manager, and staff was so accommodating to our large group. We were not the easiest group to serve. But they worked with us with a smile.
This is a good place for fried seafood; the best part of our meal was the fried shrimp. It was wonderfully seasoned. We decided to eat outside; it was quite pleasant. The team member that brought our food to the table was very courteous and accommodating. However, on the inside the environment was not too inviting. The signage was confusing on where to order. The floor felt sticky underfoot thus factoring heavily into us eating outside. The tidiness of the dining area is reflective of management/owners and not the team members.
Have eaten here several times from when I lived in Little Rock to me coming back from Oklahoma.
Everytime I have ate here the food was fresh and hot. We have had groups from four to eight and the family options are stellar. The price per person dips greatly when ordering like this. Seasonal food is always served up with choice of sides. Drinks from the fountain, sweet tea and adult beverages are offered.
Have not got any dessert yet because the meal is so filling. If I had any complaint it would be the size of the lobby area when entering the restaurant. It is small and gets congested during rush hour. The solution to this is they come out and take your order where you stand.
Hot, fresh, tasty. The wait staff is friendly and efficient in bringing your food to the table. Be careful on how you order if you are budget minded so you don't spend more than you have too.
Mixed feelings! The catfish was good as was the shrimp and fried apple pie with ice cream. There wasn’t much flavor in the bbq baked beans or coleslaw and the sweet tea was not sweet.
It also took at least 25 minutes to get the food.....and about the same to get dessert.
My guess is there’s not a smooth service flow once it gets busy. Staff kept asking about if we got the food but no update on when it was coming. We had to keep asking about the status for the entrees and dessert.
I’ll go back to try the other fried pies.
