Maddie's place will forever be one of my favorite little hidden gems in the Riverdale area. I worked in Riverdale for years - so I've tried it all. When I found Maddie's, out of all the amazing things on the menu - I got hooked on their House Smoked Salmon Salad. The Salmon is always cooked to perfection ALWAYS moist, never dry, and FULL of flavor. They pair it with tomatoes, red onion, candied walnuts and a lemon vinaigrette dressing. The balance of flavors is perfect and it is very filling for a healthy lunch. I also love the fried oyster salad (which surprised me because I prefer raw oysters on the half shell) and I don't care for fried food - but hey, they won me over on that one too. I would also order the Shrimp with Grits and Red Beans and Rice. It's hard to find a good Cajun restaurant around here and I must say they are consistent with the food- never a bad experience and I've probably ordered that Salmon Salad over 30 times 😘. Definitely gave me that work week mid day pick me up through the food - didn't have to get a coffee! Love it!
In Little Rock, Arkansas. We ate at Maddie's Place. Shrimp and grits and grilled oysters. Good food. Great service (thank you, Kaylie).
MOST EXCELLENT dinner. Seared redfish, gouda grits, and green beans. Grilled oysters for an appetizer. I really can’t heap enough praise on the entree. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. The service is great. Maddie’s is definitely one of my Little Rock favs.
Not impressed. Drove out of way to get here based off the other reviews and my husband and I are not a fan. For a $23.00 plate of 10
Shrimp and grits- can you take the tails off the shrimp? Mac and cheese had little flavor. Chicken had a fishy smell. Afterwards, it didn’t sit well with my husband. Staff was unorganized. One lady was a bit aggravated and service wasn’t up to par. They weren’t even that busy. Parking across the street, which was nice.
Wonderful good and service! Cheese grits are the best I’ve ever eaten. Pics are meat pies app, mimosa and beer, and bread pudding. Also had tomato soup and shrimp & grits in our group and all was fantastic. Highly recommended ⭐️
