Cactus Jack's Mexican Restaurant

If I was judging off the atmosphere alone hands down they would get 5 stars.
My only complaint, hence the 4 star, was that it took a long time for us to get our order in, get the food, and get the check. Don't get me wrong, it was for a girl's night, so it's not like I was bored. I just felt bad for my friend with a newborn because her baby was starting to be really upset and we couldn't find anyone to pay. They weren't insanely busy, but we couldn't seem to get a hold of our waitress most of the night. I guess what I am saying is, plan on it being a very sit down and enjoy type restaurant.
They do provide chips and salsa, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The food was pretty good. I was a little disappointed in my chicken. I could barely cut it, but to be completely fair, I ate it all without any regrets, so... ;) Portions sizes are very generous. You won’t go home hungry on that account.
The drinks are massive. The small is the size of a grapefruit, but in cup form. The medium is a little smaller than a coconut. Don't know about the big mama, but big is probably the operative word. I can't tell you if they are good because I don't drink, but everyone who got one seemed to be enjoying theirs.
As for price, it was on par with most restaurants for dinner. It's not super expensive, but not fast food prices either.

We love the food, atmosphere and the service. Its the one place my wife loves to go because she gets special attention.

I found the needle in the haystack of American style Mexican restaurants. The food was actually hot and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised. The margarita was the bomb.com. My server Dara was really good at what she does, very upbeat and had great energy. The atmosphere was delightful. The decor is fun as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and drink(flautas, hard taco and tamale). If I could give 10 stars just once in my life this place would get it. You can bet your last dollar I'll be back.

In my experience, Mexican restaurants are as predictable as McDonald's are and I mean that in a good way.

I'm familiar with food in Tijuana, Oaxaca and Mexico City as well as Tex Mex in Texas and California.

I had the special burrito with fajita meat all the toppings and cheese sauce which was great.

The chips and salsa were crunchy, fresh and perfectly sweet.

The bartender greeted me with a hardy hola, amigo as he whistled to somebody which is awesome.

The waitress was kind and attentive.

The Latin DJ music was enjoyable.

The facility is enormous and I bet is a lot of fun when it's packed versus when it was virtually vacant when I was there in the afternoon on a weekday.

It's evil that people eat at mega corporation fast food places when you can get so much better food for hardly any more and so much more of it.

OMG.. This place is it.The real deal.
Ok, passing thru on our way back to Fort Worth. Rolled the dice and hit a 7. The food is completely authentic, rivals my normal haunts back home. Can not recommend this place enough. Princess Taco (street taco) are on point. The Special Dinner that comes with everything was amazing. Don't pass through Little Rock without stopping. The tacos where so good the wife had to order a beer. Hit them up. I will be back..
Food, drinks, and a beer for 2 less than $30.
Come on. What waiting for.?
