Hoggs Meat Market

Called @ 10a.m when they opened and was greeted by a gentleman named Aaron. I asked if they carried pork butts (or shoulder) because I needed 2 that day but they had to be fresh, not frozen. He assured me that their bone-in pork butts are always fresh and that he would be sure to have a couple ready for me when I arrived later that afternoon. Well......long story short....AARON DELIVERED! Two, beautiful, FRESH, pork butts were handed to me and well, my day was made! And not only was the customer service from Aaron great, but the 2 staff members behind the counter with him were kind and attentive, also! Not to mention they keep their shop really clean and tidy! As a chef, these are the kind of butcher shops I live for. So, Thank You Hoggs. Keep on rockin'. Can't wait for the chance to dine-in for breakfast, lunch and dinner! 😄

Our party of six had dinner Thursday, July 6th. We all were very pleased. The service was excellent, attentive, but not hovering. The appetizers were delicious. I had a filet that was cooked perfectly to my taste. It was tender, juicy, and seasoned so well. The others were just as pleased with their choices. I highly recommend Hoggs Restaurant for fine dining.

If you've never tried the stuffed pork chops, PLEASE do yourself a favor and do so with the quickness. They are so good!!! I like their pimento cheese also. The regular because the spicy is too spicy for me and I'm afraid of the jalapeno. The service is great and the atmosphere is so inviting. It's a whole vibe over there now.

This is a great place for a Saturday Breakfast despite what Google says the Restaurant side opens at 7:00 AM on Thursday Friday and Saturday when they do Breakfast. They do lunch every day. The Higgs Big Breakfast seen in the picture with a side of biscuit and gravy is excellent.
