New ownership & new name. Nice owners. Food good except too much sodium. Combos with white rice, black beans. Little salsa bar.

Absolutely fantastic Mexican food! This is a late review coming, but my girlfriend and I are in love with this restaurant and their Long Beach location, which is their main restaurant. They serve steaming HOT and DELICIOUS Mexican food, huge portions and it's so tasty I guarantee you will be coming back.

The owner himself and his wife are there on occasion and often go table to table asking if their guests are being taken of! Super friendly couple and very attentive. The staff is also fast and helpful. Got alot of guests with you? No problem! The owner himself helped me rearrange some tables to accomodate my visiting family!

Do yourself a favor and head over here! They offer free unlimited chips and salsa (with purchase) for eating in, and grab some if you're taking out as well! Unlimited soda if you dine in, too.

I'll recommend the shredded beef soft taco plate w/ beans and rice. Support these local dine-ins! I'll have some images to share next time I drop in!

Food is always good here. My only complaint is their cash register and ordering system.
Buy 10 combos, get the next one free. Recorder electronically, without any physical stamp. But now it does not exist anymore, so I cannot redeem my free food :(

The food served at Baja Sonora is one of those simpler joys in life. There's nothing particularly special or unique here, it's just good, solid, reliable taqueria food. Portions are huge and prices are not bad. The food is also delicious, if not special. I'd recommend this place for lunch, especially if you can afford to take a nap after lunch!
